Coliving for students and Erasmus

View of Clermont-Ferrand

Your Parcoursup applications have been sent to you a few days ago, so it’s time to start planning your higher education! There are lots of opportunities and it’s common to move to a new town. This allows you to discover new people and new places, which is great! However, it’s important to find student accommodation, and this will have a significant impact on your new life!

Have you ever heard of American sororities and fraternities? These are huge shared houses where students share unforgettable moments together. These social organisations provide students with a network for better living, for helping each other and for their professional future!

Coliving is a bit like that idea, but supervised and managed by an operator (to avoid a remake of Project X!).

Imagine arriving in a new city, moving into a large, trendy, friendly house designed for community living, with other residents from different cities and countries. Getting to know these people, sharing common values, organising activities and creating strong bonds.

This house will be more than just a place to live, it will be a unique experience that will allow you to grow, learn and develop!

Coliving is an increasingly popular alternative in many university towns and cities, but it is still rare. This type of accommodation is particularly appealing to master’s, doctoral and/or Erasmus students looking for an affordable, comfortable and friendly alternative to traditional university halls of residence, rented individual flats or shared accommodation.

Housing solutions

Among the various existing accommodation solutions, the student residence is one of the most popular. It offers hundreds of furnished and equipped rooms (kitchenette, 120x190cm bed, bathroom, etc.) as well as common areas for relaxation. Some student residences also offer services such as cleaning, laundry and security (guard).

Shared accommodation is also a well-known solution for reducing housing costs by sharing a flat with other people. However, shared accommodation is generally not suitable for several people. There is only one bathroom to share, the kitchen is not very functional, the bedrooms overlook the living room, etc. It is a financial optimisation solution for both owners and tenants.

Coliving

Coliving, on the other hand, is above all an offer centred on encounters and the experience of living. These are houses designed for comfortable living together where people who wish to move in share a common vision: to meet and live with new people in an authentic way.

To share your life with fifteen or so people you don’t know, you need a framework at the beginning. That’s why at BeeLivewe take care to meet and talk with each of our future residents. It is essential for us that everyone is on the same wavelength!

Then, discover our incredible common spaces: huge kitchen, dining room, living room, garden and sometimes even a gym, a cinema, a coworking space or a wine cellar. A unique and trendy place to share good times.

All our residents have their own room with private shower and toilet, desk, 140x190cm hotel bed and custom-made storage to ensure the comfort and privacy we all need.

Services are included in the rent to enhance our residents’ experience. These include weekly cleaning, house maintenance, enhanced security (0 keys, only digicodes), monthly brunch, partner offers, events, etc. These services allow students to focus on their studies and foster social ties. The houses are located in the city centre and close to the university campuses, in order to make it easier for students to move between their living and studying areas.

International students

For international students, colivingis an excellent way to adapt quickly to their new city and meet other students. Coliving houses offer residents the chance to get together and socialise easily. Regularly organised events, such as after-work parties and adventures to discover the region, are all opportunities to forge links with other residents. Living together makes you feel surrounded and more at ease in your new surroundings. It’s also a great opportunity for all residents to learn new languages and cultures.

International student group

Finally, coliving offers ideal flexibility for international students/Erasmus students. Depending on the length of their studies or their visa, they often need temporary or medium-term accommodation. This ideal solution allows you to move in with a clear head and simply put your bags down in a welcoming home.

In short, colivingis an extraordinary experience that will leave its mark on everyone’s life!
